(QUAKE) - A small earthquake rattled Reno County residents Sunday morning.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake, measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale, occurred just before 8:30 AM and was centered about two miles northwest of Hutchinson. No damage was reported.

The Reno County area has reported an increase in seismic activity over the past month, prompting the Kansas Corporation Commission to launch an investigation.
