41-year-old man shot & killed in S. Wichita

A 41-year-old man was shot and killed in the south part of Wichita, at a small business operated by his girlfriend.
It happened at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, in the 3000 block of S. Hillside. Officer located the victim with a single gunshot to his body; he was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers also made contact at that location with a 45-year-old woman, the victim's girlfriend.
A handgun was recovered during the investigation.
This is Wichita's 27th criminal homicide case of the year, and the second in three days.
