4.2 Magnitude earthquake near South Hutchinson shakes Kansas

The U.S. Geological Survey says a 4.2 Magnitude earthquake shook parts of Kansas near South Hutchinson.

The earthquake occurred at 7:59 a.m. Friday, with an epicenter about 3 miles from Hutchinson. In the following 44 minutes, three more aftershocks with magnitudes 2.6 or higher were also recorded.

The earthquake was also felt in Kansas as far away as Manhattan and Topeka.
