A teenage boy has been arrested after pair of armed robberies in the southeast part of Wichita.

The second robbery happened shortly before 10:00 p.m. Monday at the Arby's near Rock Road & the Kansas Turnpike; the suspect was wearing a clown mask and was armed with a knife. The suspect stole money and ran from the store, getting into a silver Chevy Impala.

Police soon located that car, which was reported stolen out of Derby. Two males in the car tried to run, but one of them was caught, a 16-year-old.

10 minutes before the Arby's robbery, there was another heist at the Burger King at Rock & Douglas, also by a suspect with a knife wearing a clown mask.

In the stolen car, officers recovered money, a knife, and a clown mask.

The 16-year-old was arrested for aggravated robbery, aggravated kidnapping, and aggravated assault. He already had a criminal record, stemming from multiple aggravated robbery cases from last year.
