The trial of a Wichita man charged with attempted first-degree murder of a Kansas Department of Revenue employee is underway in Sedgwick County Court.

Ricky Wirths is accused of walking into a KDOR office September 19th, 2017 and shooting Cortney Holloway multiple times. Holloway had been at Wirths' home earlier that day performing a seizure of assets. Wirths later went to the office in north Wichita, requested to see Holloway, and was allowed in. That's when Holloway says, Wirths pulled a gun and began shooting.

The prosecutor called several witnesses to the stand, including a Wichita Police officer responding to the shooting call. The jury also watched camera footage of the ambulance ride after Holloway was shot.

Wirths has been Sedgwick County Jail since the shooting.
