An important part of a church nativity scene, stolen from a Wichita church has been returned.  The baby Jesus was reported stolen from a manger at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament last week.

The Wichita Eagle reports that the statue was found Wednesday in a yard of a home and returned to the parish office.

On their Facebook page the church posted, "Hallelujah! The Baby Jesus is back!"   Officials believe the statue was stolen the night of Jan. 3 or early Jan. 4.

The manger scene was donated by a church member nearly thrity-five years ago.
