The American  Red Cross and the American Cancer Society are joining forces ... encouraging people to donate blood to help those who are fighting cancer. They're calling it "Give Blood to Give Time". Red Cross spokesperson Jan Hale tells KNSS News the American Cancer Society says one-in-three people will be diagnosed with cancer. And cancer patients use nearly one-quarter of the nation's blood supply.

The Wichita Blood Center is located at 707 north Main. The Red Cross prefers that you make an appointment ... but walk-ins are welcome if you have an hour to spare.
