Before 4:00 a.m. Thursday police in the west part of Wichita responded to the report of a break-in at Mayberry Cultural and Fine Arts Magnet Middle School at Maple & Sheridan.

Police encountered two boys exiting the school, including a pre-teen with three stolen lap-top computers. There was also vandalism and damage inside the building, including computers and a television, and stolen candy; all the stolen items were recovered.

The 12-year-old, classified as an active runaway, and a 14-year-old were both booked into the Juvenile Detention facility for burglary, theft, destruction-of-property, and curfew violations.
