A Capitol Federal Savings branch location was robbed in the southeast part of Wichita; it happened at about 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Harry & Bluffview, west of Oliver.

The FBI has issued a description of the suspect: a black man in his mid-30s, about six-feet tall, wearing a gray hoodie, green pants, and a camouflage face-covering. He had a gun, and made a verbal demand for money. At the bank, he left behind a black bag with a yellow smiley-face on it, claiming there was a bomb inside the bag.

He ran away with cash to the north, into the Hilltop neighborhood.

Law enforcement responded to the scene, including the Bomb Squad; no device was located at the scene.
