Celebrating the work of outstanding people in the Wichita community

November 11, 2019 - 6:02 pm

National Philanthropy Day is a chance to recognize and pay tribute to people in the community who are helping to make a difference.

The Wichita Chapter will celebrate those who have been nominated and selected from our community on Friday, during a luncheon the Hyatt Regency.

Tony Morrow with Dear Neighbor and Step Stone Ministries is being recognized as this year's Outstanding Volunteer.  He says all it takes is a willingness to help.

"A few years ago we partnered with Mennonite Housing and Midwest Housing Equity Group to build a 28 unit housing complex for survivors of domestic violence." Morrow says.  "And I was happy to be part of it." he adds.
