Children safe after van stolen from Wichita convenience store parking lot

Police are investigating the theft of a vehicle with three young children inside.  It happened just before 4:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at a convenience store in the 2100 block of south Broadway.

A woman, 25, went inside to pay for her gas, leaving her children, ages six months, eighteen months and two years, along with her keys in her vehicle.

Police say someone walked up and stole the Town and Country van, with the children still inside.

Officers located the vehicle about thrity minutes later in the 1500 block of S. Gold with the children still inside and unharmed.

Police are looking for two people of interest in the case.  The first individual is a white man, who was wearing a red shirt, dark shorts, and a white KU hat.  The second individual is a white man, who was wearing a multi-colored shirt and dark shorts.  The two were in a white SUV that appears to be a Suburban.
