October 03, 2017 - 2:15 pm

At the weekly meeting of the Wichita City Council at City Hall downtown, council-members presented an award to Steve and Ted in the Morning from KNSS.

Among those in attendance were Kansas Association of Broadcasters Hall of Famer Steve McIntosh, Ted Woodward, and KNSS Program Director Tony Duesing.

The award was presented to Steve and Ted in recognition and appreciation for their win last month of the Marconi Award as Medium Market Personality of the Year at the 2017 National Association of Broadcasters radio awards in Austin, Texas.

The City's certificate of recognition also honored Steve and Ted for the recent milestone of working their 5,000th show together, and their morning on-air partnership of nearly 20 years on KNSS.

Mayor Jeff Longwell also presented Steve and Ted with City of Wichita commemorative coins at the occasion.

Steve and Ted in the Morning may be heard from 6:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m. every weekday on 98.7 and 1330 KNSS. Jad Chambers performs duties as board operator/producer for the daily show.
