Wichita crews battled a house fire early Friday morning in northeast Wichita. The fire started around midnight in the 1200 block of Bracken Court, southwest of 13th and 127th.
Acting Battalion Chief Warren Koehn says the roof of the home collapsed and firefighters had to battle the fire in a defensive mode. The fire was reported under control in around a half hour.
Koehn says the cause is under investigation, but fireworks are a possibility. No one was injured in the fire.
