WICHITA, Kan. - Ralph Cuddemi recorded his second-career hat trick and the Wichita Thunder set a new season-high for goals in a game as they pounded the Kalamazoo Wings 7-3 Saturday night at Intrust Bank Arena.

It was Teddy Bear Toss Night and Cuddemi's first goal at 4:36 of the first period brought an avalanche of teddy bears onto the ice. Cuddemi would score again in the 2nd and 3rd periods to complete his hat trick.

Matt DeBlouw scored two goals and Travis Ewanyk added three assists to help pace the Thunder offensive attack. Joel Rumpel made 35 saves in claiming his eighth win of the season.

The Thunder went 1-for-4 on the power play while Kalamazoo went 0-for-5 on the man advantage.

Wichita will finish their four-game homestand on Wednesday night when they host the Kansas City Mavericks. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m.
