After taking legal steps, KSN news has been able to receive information from the DCF about the case of 2-year old Tony Bunn, who died on may 6th, two days after he was found unresponsive inside his house.

Bunn's mom, Elizabeth Woolheater, and her boyfriend, Lucas Diel, are charged with first degree murder in the boy's death.

The 529-pages of documents received from the Department for Children and Families and pertaining to Tony's death, cites a pair of child abuse reports DCF investigated in Dember of 2016 and October of 2017.

In 2016, they investigated a report of physical neglect to Bunn by his mother. After multiple followups with DCF staff, they concluded that Bunn was happy and healthy and couldn't substantiate abuse claims.

A second case documented unexplained injuries from being with his mother and boyfriend. On this case, the summary reports law enforcement concluded insufficient evidence to pursue and arrest and the case was closed.

The new documents did not reveal many new details about how Bunn died or the investigation into and after his death.
