Two men were stabbed in the southeast part of Wichita, near Pawnee & George Washington Boulevard.

It happened at about 2:30 a.m. Thursday; emergency dispatchers originally sent officers to the scene of what was thought to be a shooting in the 3900 block of E. Roseberry.

Officers arrived to find a 34-year-old man and another male victim, both of whom had multiple stab wounds and were uncooperative with investigators. They were hospitalized, and are expected to survive.

Investigators believe the information they got from the victims is not consistent with the facts of this aggravated battery. Police have developed a lead on a possible suspect, and they are trying to contact that person; investigators say this is not a random event.
