Early morning shooting spree in North Wichita

Police were called to the report of a shooting just after midnight this (Thursday) morning in the 2200 block of North Minnesota.  When they arrived, they found a 19 year-old man with a gunshot wound to his face. He was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released from a hospital.

Police located several scenes at multiple locations, from 24th and Piatt to North Minnesota and East 21st. Officer Paul Cruz says multiple shots were fired from several guns, and it appears the suspects were fueding from vehicles.

Cruz said this is not a random incident.

He says there has been a lack of cooperation in investigating and asks the public for assistance.

It is not known at this time if this was gang related.
