MULVANE, Kan. - A multi-county police chase that began in Wichita ended near Udall in Sumner County with shots fired and a dead suspect. It began late Wednesday night when Wichita officers spotted a wanted suspect.

A chase began and Sedgwick County Sheriff's deputies joined the chase.  Sheriff's deputies tried using a device that attaches a gps tracker to a suspect car.  That's when the suspect fired at officers.

The chase continued through Cowley and into Sumner County, ending on K-15 near Geuda Springs Road when the suspect stopped the vehicle.  Sumner County Sheriff Darren Chambers says the suspect again fired at officers who returned fire, killing the suspect.

No officers were harmed in the incident.  There was a female in the suspect vehicle, she was also uninjured and is being questioned by police.
