Get your green on Saturday for Wichita's St. Patrick's Parade

March 14, 2019 - 11:27 pm

St. Patrick's Day is this Sunday, but Saturday is the day to enjoy the 13th Annual St. Patrick's Parade in Historic Delano.

It kicks off at high noon from Douglas and McLean and makes its way through the Delano District to Walnut, just east of Seneca.

"We have 118 total entries," said parade organizer Cameron Lawrence.  "We have twenty five sponsors.  And last year's visitors, we had about 20,000 plus, which is what the police count was," he added.

Lawrence says to come early and stake out a spot to enjoy the approximately hour and a half parade.  But, he cautions parade goes not to set up or stray off the sidewalks, which could delay or stop the parade.

But be sure to wear plenty of green.
