Governor Jeff Colyer makes Judicial Appointment to the 18th District Court

Governor Jeff Colyer has appointed Sean Hatfield of Wichita as a District Judge in the 18th District. He will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Warren Wilbert.

Hatfield currently serves as an Assistant Attorney General with the Kansas Attorney General’s Office and has a cross-designation as a Special Assistant United States Attorney. He previously was in private practice, served as a municipal prosecuting attorney, and was a guardian ad litem. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas, and a law degree from Valparaiso University.

The 18th District is comprised of Sedgwick County.
