Harvey County: three people dead in traffic accident

Reports indicate three people have died after a traffic accident in the far west part of Harvey County.
The crash happened before 11:00 a.m. Friday on U.S. Highway 50 between Newton and Hutchinson, about a mile east of Burrton.
Three other victims were injured in the crash, and emergency personnel on the scene asked for additional ambulances and a helicopter ambulance.
U.S. 50 was shut down in the area.
