A Kansas judge has ruled that a homeless man who dismembered his wife's body and sleeping with her remains is not competent to stand trial.

Justin Rey is accused of dismembering his wife in a Missouri hotel room. He told investigators that he slept in a Kansas storage unit with her remains and that he also took photos of himself with his wife's body before he dismembered her. Rey went on to tell the police that she died during childbirth and that she killed herself. He has been charged with child endangerment and abandonment of a corpse and has been ordered to receive treatment.

The couple had two children together. They were taken to a mental hospital for treatment.

Rey is also charged in the death of a California man whose body hasn't been found.
