How much did Kansans spend and win on the lottery last year?

Many people in Kansas love  to play the lottery.

Last fiscal year — July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017 — Kansas spent more than $272 million dollars on lottery tickets! Prizes totaled nearly $150 million, according to Kansas Lottery spokeswoman Sally Lunsford.

According to Kansas lottery reports, Sedgwick county lead Kansas with the total amount of money won overall, while those playing in Wallace county had the worst luck in Kansas. Gove county residents spent the most money
on tickets per person, but also won the most amount of money per person. Marion county  residents spent the least on lottery tickets per person.
