Illegal gaming machines seized in McPherson

Several illegal gaming machines were seized from local businesses this week by the McPherson Police Department.

McPherson police say that on Monday, one of its detectives received information from another detective with the Hutchinson Police Department regarding illegal gaming machines at Yogi's Vape Store on Main Street in McPherson.

The McPherson police detective confirmed two illegal Bankshot gaming machines were in the shop. A search warrant was executed at the store and both of the machines were seized.  

McPherson police say later on Monday and Tuesday, its detective and officers from the department found illegal Phone Card Sweepstakes gaming machines at several locations in town. In all, 12 gaming machines were seized.

Police say the investigation is ongoing with the Kansas Gaming Commission.
