The Sedgwick County Commission heard the report Wednesday, which said that over 211 thousand people attended 54 different events at the downtown arena in the first six months of 2019.  Those events included Wichita Thunder hockey, country artist Alan Jackson and rock group Metallica.

After accounting for all expenses, the net building income was reported at $713,000.

General Manager A.J. Boleski is pumped up about one of the future acts coming to the arena.

"Guns N Roses in October will be making their first appearance ever in the city of Wichita, so we're pretty excited.  It's always neat when we can bring an act that's never been here before, especially somebody so iconic as Guns N Roses," he said.
Country group Alabama and The Beach Boys will come to Wichita in November.
