Paramedics were attending to a female patient when family members asked them to call police because a 42 year old man there was irate.

Two officers quickly arrived at the scene and found the man armed with a knife and stating he was going to hurt himself.

A police sergent arrived and tried to subdue the man by shooting a foam ball device at him. The man went back into the home and armed himself with another knife and began cutting his wrists.

Officers used a tazer on the man and EMS crews were able to transport him to a local hospital for treatment of his wounds and for mental evaluation.

Police had removed the female patient's family members to a safe area. Noone else was injured.
