Kansas City Royals announce start times for 2019 regular season

With less than 40 days until pitchers and catchers report, the Kansas City Royals have announced start times for the 2019 regular season.

The Kansas City Royals will open up the 2019 season on Thursday, March 28 at 3:15 p.m. against the Chicago White Sox at Kauffman Stadium. The season opening series will continue on Saturday, March 30 and Sunday, March 31, with first pitches coming at 1:15. 

The team says that all 80 home games will start on the quarter-hour, with weeknight home games starting at 7:15, nine of the 13 Saturday home game starting at 6:15, and all but one Sunday home game starting at 1:15. 

The Royals will host the Detroit Tigers in the final game of a three-game set at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb. on Thursday, June 13 at 7:05 p.m. The game will be part of the new GEICO Summer Series, and will be televised on ESPN.
