Kansas gas prices stable, but higher than last year

Statewide average is $2.67 a gallon

Gasoline prices in Kansas are higher this year than they were at this time last year.  Jennifer Haugh with Triple A says it's still a relatively stable environment, as compared to a decade ago. 

"In 2008 the Kansas average was was $4.02," said Haugh.  "We're not as low as it was last year, but it certainly has not skyrocketed.  We have a few locations across Kansas that are above $3, but not too many of them."

The statewide average is $2.67. The national average is $2.88.  Wichita is averaging $2.58 a gallon.
