Law enforcement to focus on speeding along K-15

The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Department is increasing speeding enforcement on K-15.  KSN News spoke with Sedgwick County Sheriff's Lt. Tim Meyers who says they investigated over 15-hundred vehicle accidents in the last year, and a large number of those happened on K-15.

"We tried the education part and that hasn't seemed to work," said Lt. Meyers. "And since we have so many accidents we decided that we were going to go ahead and enforce. We reached out to other law enforcement agencies; the Mulvane Police Department, Derby Police Department, the Kansas Highway Patrol, and the Wichita Police Department."

Lt. Meyers says these agencies' speeding enforcement efforts are aimed at reducing the number of accidents and keeping everyone safe.
