Here are the local COVID-19 numbers for Friday, April 3, 2020:

Kansas, with a total population of more than 2.9 million people, has 620 positive cases of the virus, up 12% from Thursday.

Among those tested in the state, 91% have tested negative for the coronavirus, and 9% positive. Among those with COVID-19, 34% required hospitalization.

There have been 151 hospitalizations for the virus in Kansas, up 9% from Thursday.

Three more patients died from the virus since Thursday, all in Johnson County in northeast Kansas, bringing the state's total to 17 deaths. Among the cases in Kansas, 2.7% have resulted in death.

Sedgwick County now has 85 positive cases, up 7.6% from Thursday. There has been one COVID-19 death in Sedgwick County.
