Before 2:00 a.m. Sunday, 28-year-old Darnell Jackson called 911, saying that he'd stabbed another man in the southeast part of Wichita near Pawnee & Oliver.

Police responded to the Golf Park Apartments in the 2400 block of S. Glendale, where they found 45-year-old Joseph Heiman suffering from multiple stab wounds. Police say these two men in the past had argued about loud music.

Investigators believe on Sunday, Jackson become upset about loud music, entered Heiman's apartment, and stabbed him multiple times; Heiman died at the hospital about seven hours after he was stabbed.

This is Wichita's 12th criminal homicide this year, and the second in a span of a day-and-a-half.
