A man is in critical condition after a work-related accident at an area golf course Sunday morning.

The incident happened around 10:30 AM at the Terradyne Golf Course in Andover.

Authorities say the man, a 27-year-old maintenance worker, was working on a water leak on the property when a pillar fell on him, partially crushing and trapping him. Andover Fire Chief Brad Russell said several rescue crews responded to help free the man. He was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

Another maintenance worker was also trapped during the accident. Bystanders were able to free him and he sustained only minor injuries. The names of the victims have not been released.
