A man moving out of a house was shot and killed in the far west part of Wichita, near Pawnee & 119th Street West.

Before 1:00 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to a shooting at Pawnee & Cardington, where they found a 31-year-old man who had gunshot wounds to his leg. He told officers his friend had been shot in the 2200 block of S. Parkridge. As police arrived at that scene, they could still hear gunshots from inside the house, then a 21-year-old man came out; he dropped his gun, and was arrested.

Police went inside, finding 45-year-old Randy Gibson dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators believe Gibson lived at the home with the suspect and the suspect's girlfriend, a 38-year-old woman, and that Gibson had come to the house with two other men to move out his belongings.

Police believe Gibson and his two friends were all shot by the suspect, who was booked into jail for 1st-degree murder, two counts of aggravated battery, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

This is Wichita's 37th homicide of the year, and the city's third straight weekend with at least one murder case.
