A 62 year-old Wichita man is dead from multiple stab wounds he received during an altercation with his 53 year-old roommate early Sunday morning.

Wichita Police responded to a cutting call in the 3400 block of East Munger around 3:00 Sunday morning. When they arrived, they found the victim, Albert Thomas, with multiple wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police determined the men both lived at the residence with their girlfriends and were preparing food for Easter Sunday when an argument broke out. The argument escalated and the victim was stabbed repeatedly. The suspect, Keith Thurman, was arrested on charges of second degree murder.

One of the women was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital. The other one was not injured.

This was Wichita's 9th homicide of the year.
