Many great events coming up this weekend at Wichita Riverfest

Kansas’ largest community event

June 07, 2018 - 2:25 pm

Riverfest, Kansas’ largest community event, will wrap up this weekend with three major headliner concerts, two big events for kids, a colorful dance party, a fireworks finale, two car shows, great river events, family activities, contests and competitions, all free with a $10 admission button for adults or $5 button for kids ages 6-12.

“So far, Riverfest 2018 has been all about the abundant sunshine, exciting new events and welcome amenities,” said Mary Beth Jarvis, president and CEO of Wichita Festivals, Inc. “If people haven’t yet checked out Star Lumber’s Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show, The Last Carnival circus performances or our artist-in-residence by the river, they can still catch them. Upcoming events, such as the Riverfest Classic Car Show and KidFest, as well as the kayak and canoe races and fantastic concerts, are going to be huge! And it all ends with a bang, with the Capitol Federal Fireworks Finale. Between now and then, we need folks to continue to stay safe in the sun and heat. Bring sunscreen, stay hydrated at our new water stations, and take care of each other while you’re enjoying this great event.”
