Construction activity continues towards the new downtown stadium that will host the Triple-A baseball team that's coming to town. Wichita Mayor Jeff Longwell tells KNSS News he has been speaking with team management

"I have word that they may, here within a week or so, share what the ticket prices are going to be," said Mayor Longwell.  "I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised, maybe even mildly shocked, at how economical it is to take in a game there."

Baseball isn't the only summer activity on Mayor Longwell's mind. "We want to build six new swimming pools around town, and some splash pads, he said.  "I've asked the manager (City Manager Robert Layton) when is that going to come back to us so they can hopefully start building those early so we can maybe get those in this summer."

Longwell commented during Mondays with the Mayor on Steve and Ted in the Morning, on KNSS.
