Local government officials say "behavioral health" is a problem ... what to do with people who have mental or drug abuse issues? Sedgwick County Commission Chair Pete Meitzner tells KNSS News an estimated 60% of the inmates in the county jail have mental or drug abuse problems. He says he'd like to see the state help provide some sort of facility to help with the problem in this area.

On another topic, will Wichita's new riverfront development plan ... after approval ... require some sort of local tax increase? Meitzner says it's possible that the county will look at a short-term sales tax

Meitzner commented on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
