This is Minority Mental Health Awareness Month.

The Wichita affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness is holding its annual event for Minority Mental Health Awareness.

The event this year, themed "THREADS OF HOPE", is taking place Thursday evening at the Wichita State Univeristy Metroplex at 29th & Oliver in the northeast part of Wichita, Room 180.

The event begins at 6:00 p.m. Thursday. There's a panel presentation beginning at 6:30 p.m. with questions and answers, followed by a Resources Fair at 8:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

This is a joint program put on by NAMI Wichita and the WSU Department of Psychology.
