On Thursday afternoon, Wichita police officers conducted a "John" Sting operation, involving officers from Patrol South, Patrol West, the Vice Squad, and the Broadway Corridor Team.

11 men were arrested, ranging in age from 19 to 67; most of the charges were for the purchase of sexual relations, the hiring of a person selling sexual relations, and anti-sex trafficking -- and most of those arrests were on S. Broadway.

During the past four-and-a-half months, police have put a special emphasis on sex-trafficking arrests along the Broadway corridor, resulting in the arrests of four dozen men, and 17 women.
