Murder Suspect Arrested After Homicide in S. Wichita

A suspect has been arrested in connection with Wichita's latest homicide; the death occurred after a shootout north of Pawnee & Oliver before 6:00 a.m. Saturday, in the 2200 block of S. Glendale.

Officers arriving on the scene located one male victim with gunshot wounds; he died at the scene. Later, another man with gunshot wounds was hospitalized.

28-year-old Aubrey Oliver was arrested on Sunday, booked into jail on a charge of suspected first-degree murder. He previously served prison time for conspiracy to first-degree murder from a case 10 years ago in Reno County.
