A 15-year-old boy on a skateboard suffered critical injuries from a fall in the northeast part of Wichita, after holding on to a moving car.

It happened Sunday morning at Edgemoor Park, east of 9th & Edgemoor.

A 16-year-old boy was driving a car leaving the park, west-bound on 9th Street. The victim was being pulled on his skateboard while holding on to the car through an open window on the passenger's side; another 15-year-old was doing the same on the driver's side.

The teenager on the driver's side successfully disengaged from the car, but the victim on the passenger's side let go of the car then lost control of the skateboard before his head hit the ground during the fall.

Investigators believe neither alcohol nor speed were factors in this accident.
