A 56-year old man was arrested on numerous drug charges at his home near Nickerson High School.

On Thursday, law enforcement served a high-risk "no knock" warrant at Michael Curran's home at 106 South Pine, which is within 1,000 feet of the school. Many drugs were found, including two pounds of meth, nearly 900 oxycodone pills, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and firearms.

Curran was arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell methamphetamine, marijuana, and opioids. His bond was set at half a million dollars.

Reno county law enforcement was assisted by Reno County Drug Enforcement Unit, the joint Hutchinson Police Department/Reno County Sheriff's Emergency Response Team, and the Haven Police Department.

Kansas Department of Corrections records show Curran has several prior convictions that include opioid possession, attempted aggravated assault, flee and elude and forgery.
