Before 2:00 a.m. Sunday, 46-year-old Desmond Winesberry was killed in Wichita during a disturbance at a residence in the 2300 block of N. Chautauqua; he had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.

One person was taken into custody late Monday afternoon; police arrested a 31-year-old man for felony murder; investigators say this homicide was not a random event.
