One dead, one injured after crash south of Junction City

One woman is dead, another hospitalized after a crash in Geary County.  According to the Kansas Highway Patrol it happened just after 11:30 a.m. on U.S. 77, 6 miles south of Junction City.  

An eastbound pickup truck on State Lake Road crossed U.S. 77 and was struck by a southbound semi truck.  Both women were taken to Geary Community Hospital.  The driver of the pickup, 22-year-old Savannah Laudemann of Woodbine, Kan. died at the hospital.  The passenger suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.  The driver of the semi was uninjured.
