Pair of Drug Busts in Wichita

There were a pair of drug busts in Wichita on Thursday morning.

The police department's special investigations bureau executed a narcotics search warrant in the northwest part of Wichita at Parkdale & Lantana, west of 29th & Maize Road. The warrant was obtained after a tip to law enforcement from a resident. 

The warrant led to the arrest of a 31-year-old man; he was booked into jail for possession of marijuana with intent-to-sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Investigators at the scene also seized about 25 pounds of marijuana, four handguns, a pair of rifles, cash in excess of $200,000.

The bureau also executed a warrant generated by tip from a resident in the south part of Wichita in the 1800 block of Glen Oaks, south of Pawnee & the Canal Route; the warrant resulted in two felony and two misdemeanor arrests, the seizure of 10 grams of methamphetamine, 28 ounces of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

One woman and three men were all arrested and booked into jail on various multiple charges, including possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of methamphetamines.
