MIDDLEBURY, Vt. (AP) — A series of Christmas cards and booklets that feature Robert Frost poems are on display at Vermont's Middlebury College for the first time in more than half a century.

Some of the poems were published for the first time in the cards, some were early drafts of works in progress that went on to become staples of Frost's works, while still others had been previously published before they were used in the cards.

Frost had a decades-long affiliation with Middlebury, helping to found the prestigious Bread Loaf Writers' Conference.

Some cards were about Christmas while others weren't.

Middlebury Professor Jay Parini, a Frost biographer, said the cards meant a lot to Frost.

They will be on display throughout the holidays.
