Police:  Arrest made in Wichita protest investigation

The Wichita Police Department (WPD) has arrested Dimitri Fernandez, 19, of Wichita on charges of reckless driving, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and outstanding warrants.  The arrest stems from an investigation regarding recent protests.
On Monday, a WPD officer observed the driver of a white Dodge Ram driving recklessly at 21st and Arkansas.  Through the investigation, officers identified Fernandez as the driver.  

Wednesday evening, officers saw him driving the same Dodge Ram again at 21st and Arkansas.  Officers stopped him, and he was arrested without incident. 

Following his arrest, officers found drugs and drug paraphernalia in his possession.  Additionally, Fernandez has previously been arrested and convicted on charges of burglary and theft.
