Police ask for help identifying Wichita robbery suspect

The Wichita Police Department, (WPD), is investigating an armed robbery and needs the public’s help in identifying the suspect.

It happened around 11:50 a.m. Friday, December 21, at the Southwest National Bank branch in the 3100 block of south Seneca.

Employees told officers that an unknown suspect entered the business pointing a handgun at them and demanding money. An undetermined amount was given to the suspect who also peppered sprayed the employees before leaving.

The suspect was described as a man, 5’9” in height, medium to heavy set, wearing a skull mask, black hoodie, gray sweat pants and black shoes.

The suspect is believed to be driving a Ford Explorer with Kansas tag number 297KYP. The tag was also reported as being stolen.
