Police:  Investigation continues in Wichita aggravated battery case

The Wichita Police Department (WPD) is investigating an aggravated battery incident that injured a Wichita man,58, with life threatening injuries.

At approximately 5:30 a.m., on Thursday, officers were dispatched to St. Francis hospital. EMS was dispatched to the 500 block of East 2nd and upon arrival, they located a 58-year-old victim with unknown injuries, later determined to be a gunshot wound to his upper body.

The initial investigation revealed an unknown suspect shot the victim. Investigators are still trying to determine what led up to the shooting and are asking for the public’s help.
