A brief police chase in Wichita late Sunday night resulted in the arrest of a 25 year-old woman.

Police officer Charley Davidson says a woman called police from a residence in the 100 block of South Mt. Carmel at about 11:45 to report a woman damaging a vehicle there. The woman said the suspect left in a black Cadillac.

Responding officers located the vehicle and attempted to pull the driver over. But the woman sped off with police in pursuit.

Police called the chase off after a short time due to unsafe speeds, but the driver ended up striking the median in the roundabout on West Douglas. She also struck a street sign and the fence surrounding The Monarch Bar and Grill.

The woman ran from the car, but police were able to apprehend her. She was booked on charges of felony evade and allude, and driving with a revoked license.

Police are seeking another known suspect. It is believed he may have been involved in a relationship at some time with the victim.

Police continue to investigate the crime.
